Charles Hairston

Born in Manhattan, New York Charles worked with such talents as Paul Newman (“Never Give An Inch” aka “Sometimes A Great Notion” and SNL’s John Belushi (opening for “Godzilla vs Megalon”). While at NBC Charles wrote the original story for the 1st male stripper film, “For Ladies Only”.  He packaged/co-produced, five (5) award winning, stage musicals from The Minneapolis Children's Stage Theatre to Universal's Pay TV Division. from 1982 to 1991, he would commute over a half million miles, traveling every ten (10) days NYC-LA-NYC for visitation of his family. He is the proud father of two sons, Jason and Avery.

 

Today, he still develops meaningful, issue related projects and a self-published children’s nature picture book series.  “Gi-Gi Dreams of The Beasties”, which has been given to inner city preschoolers in: Harlem NY, Newark NJ, Detroit, Los Angeles, Stamford Ct, and St. Jude’s Hospital. His hobbies include: travel, cooking, Grandson Rocco & golf with longtime friends. Charles and his wife Sara now reside in North Stamford Ct.
