David Ford

David D. Ford is an American actor and filmmaker based in Texas. He has written, produced, directed and starred in three feature films, with his latest film receiving worldwide distribution in 2021. On the acting side, David has appeared in numerous feature films and television over the past decade. He has written several screenplays that have received awards at several film festivals. "My goal is to get bigger and better with each film project" David adds. David directed and produced his first film in 2014 called "Something in the Woods." David notes, "I didn't have much when I made my first film but I had a team of created people who were willing to put in the work and so we decided to make the film. With less than two thousand dollars to make the film, we started filming. I did have a lot of food sponsors that kept the cast and crew well fed and was able to get hotel room for ten people, so it all worked out." David has a slate of film projects that he is looking forward to producing and taking roles in. "You have to start somewhere, and I think I got off to a good start with my first film" David states. "The whole point of making a film with no money was to show what I can do with little resources and hope to get bigger budgets with each project." David had to wear many hats on all the feature films he has made so far. Not only was he writer, producer, director, leading actor, but he also had to be a grip, production assistant, assistant director, etc. David's ultimate goal is not just to make movies but make films that will be memorable, entertaining, and spread the messages of hope and encouragement that many of his films portray.
